Every pre-order goes to one of our buyers, who reads what you wrote and decides where to look. When something is not available through a local distributor, that is the same person who works out whether importing it is realistic and what it would honestly cost you.

You tell us what you want before we have it. We source it — from a local distributor if one carries it, or from abroad if none does — then come back to you with price, condition and timing. If you are happy with that, we complete the order. If you are not, nothing happens and nothing is owed.
No. Placing a pre-order is free and no payment is taken up front. Money only changes hands once we have quoted you and you have said yes.
Then you do not need this. Catalogue items marked 'arriving soon' have not landed yet but are already priced, so you buy those through your cart in the normal way. Pre-orders are for things we do not list at all.
As soon as we have a real answer. Something a local distributor carries, we can often price the same day. Something that has to be imported takes longer, because we have to land a landed cost before we quote you one. We would rather tell you something accurate a day later than something wrong straight away.
We will say so, and tell you the closest thing we can actually get. A clear no is more useful than a maybe.
Not anything, but more than most people expect. If a manufacturer still makes it and it can be legally imported, we can usually get to it. Where we cannot is when a line is discontinued with no remaining stock anywhere, or when the only supply we can find is grey-market — in which case we will tell you rather than quietly substitute something else.
